We got off to a late start last week with our Tot School because both boys had wellness check-ups on Monday, so we ended our week of "T" yesterday. It was a super fun week! Here is our Tot School board:

Our Bible Verse (first part only and it will also be used this week)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart..." Proverbs 3:5
Just like previous weeks, we started off decorating our letter for the board.

We toasted waffles in the toaster.
(Yes, our toaster is all burnt on the outside thanks to
some experimental toasting episode Bryan tried.)

We took off the tops of various containers and then we practiced putting them back on again.

Silas usually sleeps during the mornings, but if he is awake while we are doing some craft or reading a book or doing something Tot School related he is right there with us in his bouncy chair.

I found a tent that I had used in my classroom (bought at IKEA) and I set it up one day while Seth was napping. He was pleasantly surprised to find it when we went outside to play.

We painted with a toothbrush.
(This was interesting because I had to keep reminding Seth not to put this toothbrush in his mouth. After we got over that initial problem, he had a blast painting.)

Of course, we talked about lots of trucks and played with trucks and read about trucks.

We made a turtle.

We also made a train out of toilet paper rolls, a clothespin, and paper clips using
these directions.

(And yes, that is a bottle brush lying on the table.
My son loves to play with the weirdest things.)

Finally "T" Week wouldn't be complete without going to see the train at the L & N Train Depot. We went one evening so that Bryan could join us. It was one of the highlights of our week.
Every time I read one of these posts, I'm sad we down live closer. You are such a fun mom!
ReplyDeleteCatherine, I'm sad you don't live closer too!
