A Glimpse at Thanksgiving 2010

For the past few days we have been enjoying Thanksgiving with family in Jackson. With Thanksgiving being my most favorite holiday, I tried to savor every flavor and memory. We spent time with family and ate lots of tasty foods including my dad's famous chocolate pie. We tried to ignore Black Friday ads and we reclaimed it for a day of crafting and more celebrating of thankfulness with my side of the family. We have so much to be thankful for each and every day!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with the Tillery side on Thursday and with my side on Friday. Instead of venturing out into the chaos of Black Friday shopping and the consumerism that tends to drive the Christmas season, we stayed home and made a foam turkey, fingerprint turkeys, and pine cone turkeys. They turned out so cute and made our table look so festive.
After all that crafting Seth needed a snack and he decided Nana needed one too. :)
Uncle Michael and Pop were so much fun!
(Side note: Seth learned to say "Pop," "Nana," and "hot" while we were visiting.)
When Seth wasn't in someone's arms, he was playing with all the cool things his Nana, Pop, Granna, and Papa had for him. He was particularly fond of this little rocker that used to be my Memaw's.
Since cows are a big hit right now, there are cows surrounding Pop and Nana's house, and Seth can "moo," we decided to take a closer look at them before leaving this morning. They were so friendly and we even got to pet them!
Then we loaded up and came back to our sweet, cozy home.

*After reviewing the photos tonight, we didn't have a single photo from our time with Bryan's side of the family. I am not sure how that happened especially with as many pictures as we take, but we had a great time with them, too.
