on May 15th!

On March 4th, I wrote about how waiting is hard. By the end of March we were pretty certain that we had found our homestead in the country. Because the property is being sold As Is, we decided to have an inspection done before we made an offer. On April 10th, we made a contingent offer on the property and they accepted our offer after a couple of negotiations. On April 14th we signed the papers to put our house on the market. On April 16th the listing went live on the Internet and we had an offer by 3:00 and a contract by 6:00 p.m. All of the inspections have taken place and we close on both properties on May 15th! It almost feels too good to be true. We are in a little bit of shock that it has happened so fast, giddy with excitement, and beyond grateful that this is really happening at all! So for the next two weeks we'll be packing and packing some more and trying not to get the heebie jeebies from all the mess!
