Independence Day 2011

This weekend we had lots of fun celebrating the independence of our country.
We started celebrating yesterday evening by enjoying America's favorite past time...baseball.
Even though the Hot Rods lost in the 12th inning, we still loved sticking around for the fireworks.
Today we went to visit the National Corvette Museum.
We saw lots and lots of cars!
We even left with our own 1957 mint green Corvette, a mini version, of course. Then we couldn't resist the peaches calling to us from Jackson's Orchard.
It was the kickoff of the peach season this weekend. We played...and slid...
and slid some more.We took in the atmosphere.
We saw beautiful flowers,...
drank apple cider slushes,
and embraced all the delicious looking foods. We bought peaches...
and local blueberries...
and then ended our fun with grilled out burgers and a patriotic cake.
Family, food, fun, and freedom...

Happy Independence Day!
